I got to work as a Zamboni  driver in high school and college. It was a good time. Ours were LP gas into beetle engines. Pretty simple overall.

Of course.  I was good enough at it to come flying onto the ice and whip it around in a perfect J turn and zip across to start the cut.  At the end of the night we’d get a bit goofy with them, especially if we knew the guys were upstairs closing the bar out too.  Had to give folks a show.  Studded tires worked great.
